Charles Powell
President
Charlie began his career in 1959 with Waters Funeral Home as an ambulance driver and apprentice funeral director. After graduating from Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in 1968, he returned to Waters as a funeral director and embalmer. He served as manager of the firm until he purchased the funeral home from Joe P. Waters, Jr., in 1982, and has been president of the firm since that time.

Chuck Powell
Manager
Chuck joined his dad at the funeral home in 1982. He graduated from Francis Marion University in 1984, and earned his Mortuary Science degree in 1987 from Fayetteville Technical College. He has been a funeral director and embalmer since that time. Chuck serves as manager of Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

Stacey Powell
Funeral Director/Office Manager
A native of Florence, Stacey graduated from South Florence High School in 1983, and from Queens College, Charlotte, NC, in 1987 with a degree in business. She joined the staff at Waters-Powell Funeral Home in 1992, and became a licensed funeral director in 1998. She serves as a funeral director and office manager for the firm.

Wallace Haynes
Funeral Assistant
Wallace Haynes is a resident of Darlington and has worked part-time with Waters-Powell Funeral Home since 1992. He assists with funerals and visitations, and in any other capacity he is needed.

Mary Ann Powell
Funeral Assistant
Mary Ann joined the family business in 2017. She assists in all phases of the business including funerals and office management.
